Mawallok Art Show
On the last weekend in April The Mawallok open garden and inaugural art exhibition took place at the historic homestead. Six artists were invited to show work around the theme of garden and all things nature.
SET UP
The paintings, ceramics and sculptural works came together via show curator Wendy Foard. Artists included Kate Sellars-Jones, the principal designer from Things are Electric, David O'Brien, Emma Davies, Glenn Barkley, Frankie Kannat, Fiona Brockhoff.
Kate Sellars-Jones has always painted alongside her design work for Things are Electric. Exploration of the natural world and life's darker humour is a driving force in her artistic practice. See below for a selection of her nude gardeners and the mysterious quirky world of the Staffordshire figurine accompanied by, in some instances, he own made-up wall paper.
